Dave & George I am a shop that tries to stay ahead of the game. The real struggle I have had over the last 18 years is my Shop's productivity , efficiency , billed hours , Etc. I read every article and tried numerous programs. I did okay but still was frustrated. Then I discovered Labor Profit Management through the NAPA Service Center site. I thought I would give it a try for month and to tell you the truth, I have never looked back. I have been on the system since March of 2014 and I have learned more in that short time than I have ever learned about my numbers. Dave takes time to talk to you and explain the numbers to you. The attention to detail is great. I have suggested a few things and they delivered. Not only has this system improved me , it has improved my Service Advisors. This program is always running on one of their monitors and the shop is rapidly getting better. Yes there will be struggles to initiate the change but it will be worth every minute that it takes. It is nice to have a program that you just know your dollar is spent wisely , working for you and also making you money.

Just wanted to send a quick word letting you know that LPM is going to have a permanent home here at Fleet Care. The system has made it much easier for me to accurately track my mechanics' actual time on job - especially when they are working self-directed out in the field. I was introduced to Labor Profit Management in April of 2013. Being very skeptical at first I decided to try the 60 day Free Trial offer. After 60 days of using this my only thought is "What was I thinking" Since my first full month on the program all I have seen is steady improvement of my bottom line. We have seen a steady improvement in all areas of efficiency, productivity and our effective labor rate as our technicians have come to embrace the program. It has allowed us to find "lost dollars" as we now question every job as to why the techs actual time and his bill time differ. Waiting till the end of the month to look at the numbers in most cases is to late. This program allows us to look at the numbers on a daily basis and make any changes to change that outcome. I especially like the fact that I can now leave my shop and still be able to see the numbers from anywhere I have an internet connection. Good morning Dave, I really want to thank you for introducing my Napa Auto Care Truck Service Center (TPS Tire and Service Center) to the Labor Profit Management system and for being patient with me as you have been. As you know I tried the system for the trial period and let my techs talk me out of it even though I saw the benefits, then after speaking to other shops using the system I decided to go in all the way and have you bill me for the whole year so I wouldn’t let the techs talk me out of it again and I let them know it was paid for the year and it was like a switch was flipped, once they realized it wasn’t going away they bought into it and we all started making money, one tech doubled his take home pay the 1st week and all of the guys started working more efficiently and actually hustling and I no longer had to be a Dad to all of them they all started taking more of the load which actually made my life much easier and allowed me to do my job more efficiently during normal business hours instead of nights and weekends. I began using the LPM program in October 2012. In just a few short weeks I was able to clearly see the strengths and weaknesses within my operation. With some changes put in place by all members of our team, we have seen a steady improvement in all areas. Technician productivity is up, efficiency is up and our Effective Labor Rate (ELR) is up. ELR is the most impressive part of this program for me. Every dollar that we can gain in this area, is another dollar per hour straight to the company bottom line. I feel this is most likely the one number in the everyday operation of most shops that the owner is unaware of. Real eye opener. Labor Profit Management has provided us with an easily implemented product that makes all of our techs measure there time spent on all aspects of there day including time spent waiting for parts, authorizations, breaks and any other time thief in your shop this product gives your techs a quota and keeps track of it and keeps it in front of them all the time I also use it to keep track of how long it takes each service advisor to get authorization and as a bonus all the employees love it.
